SALE RESULTS THURSDAY 4/9/26: Special Stock Cow, All Breed Bulls, and All Class Cattle Sale

Total Sold: 1495 head

This Thursday, April 9th  Dillon Livestock Auction sold 1495 head, $3-$5 higher on weigh up cattle. The sale featured Stock Cows with an All Breed Bull Sale Special.

We had 8 consignors bring in registered bulls for a total of 36 head averaging $5,000/hd with sale topping bull from Barzee Cattle at $5,750.

110 pairs sold ranging from $3650 -$4,900 with sale topping pairs coming from Split Diamond Ranch at $4900

251 bred cows selling from $3700 -$4650 with sale topping bred heifers at $4750 from again from Split Diamond Ranch.

For the feeder cattle we sold:

317 head of heifer calves many replacement quality, with the average ranging from $3.75 -$4.50.  The top set of heifers coming from Kellogg Ranch at $3050/hd

144 head of steer calves grass ready with the average ranging from $4.00 -$5.50 per pound and the top selling steer calf coming from Reiber Ranch bringing back $3,155/hd

Weigh up cattle:

429 cows ranging from $1.75 – $2.90 with top selling cow coming from Boyd Angus ranch at $3,325/hd

32 heiferettes ranging from $3.15 – $3.60 with top selling red angus heiferettes coming from Lee Kirkpatrick at $3,065/hd

66 Bulls ranging from $2.00 -$2.40 with top bull selling from Bar S cattle at $5,150/hd

DSA Cattle

Cattle consigned from within Brucellosis Designated Surveillance Areas (DSA) must undergo testing before being sold. To ensure efficient processing of your cattle, please ensure that consigned cattle from within DSA boundaries arrive at the sale yard by at least the Wednesday preceding our Thursday sale day. More simply, please bring DSA cattle to the sale yard at least the day prior to the sale.
